Georgia Faye Behrens of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away on October 5, 1998 in Norman, Oklahoma. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 9, 1998 at the Lawson (Quay) Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma with Reverend Tom Cox officiating. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
Georgia was born on May 26, 1923 into the large and loving family of George and Minnie Lesher of Maramec, Oklahoma. She graduated from the Maramec High School and married Clyde V. Behrens on August 12, 1946, upon his return from service in WWII. They began their lives together in rural Pawnee County. They moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma in 1955. Georgia worked for Continental Oil Company here entire career.
Georgia is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Marie Ross of Ponca City, and her family, husband, Rick and sons, Jason and Justin; her son, Verland E. Behrens of Norman, Oklahoma and his family, wife, Carol and daughters, Alison and Jessica. She is also survived by (6) brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and their families.
She also will be remembered by many friends. She loved and was loved by all who knew her. Georgia was a lifelong Christian and was a member of the Sunset Baptist Church in Ponca City. We take comfort in the conviction that she is now reunited with her beloved husband in the company of her Lord.
